FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Goodyear, AZ – July 19, 2010 – Airshow performer, ICAS member and Air Force Lt Col, Ed Hamill deploys with the military and takes a four-month break from performing.

Ed Hamill has been performing for eleven years.  At the same time, he has continued his military career part time instructing in the F-16.  When Hamill performed his first show in 1999, he was a Captain in the Air Force.  Now Hamill is a Lieutenant Colonel and continues to serve and fly F-16s and airshows.  Performing in shows and flying the F-16 has kept him extremely busy, leaving no options for military deployments.

While in between title sponsors, he has performed in three shows and is scheduled to perform at one in November.  This transition period opened up the opportunity for Hamill to take a four-month deployment, something that he has not had the opportunity to do for many years.

“I am very excited about the future of airshows and my airshow program,” Hamill says.  “While I am dedicated to serving my country and continuing my military service, my passion to perform endures.  I love this airshow industry and look forward to improving my flying and sharing my passion for both aviation and this great country.  I have the opportunity to inspire with my airshow, serve in the F-16 and make a positive impact.  This is my commitment.”

Look for Ed Hamill to return to the circuit at the Nellis AFB Airshow and the annual ICAS convention in Las Vegas, NV.
